Lou is a trauma-informed psychotherapist who believes that real healing happens when insight is embodied — not just understood. Her approach goes beyond talk therapy, integrating neuroscience, evidence-based modalities, and experiential work that engages both the mind and body.

Lou designs treatment plans that address emotional, cognitive, and somatic layers of experience. Each process is personalised — helping clients release long-held emotional patterns, regulate the nervous system, and rebuild a secure sense of self.

Her work blends Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Clinical Hypnotherapy, and Psychodynamic principles to bring awareness into action. Techniques such as guided imagery, somatic awareness, inner-child work, and emotion processing exercises are used to help clients move beyond mere understanding — toward actual, felt change.

Lou’s therapeutic process supports clients in:

  • Healing trauma and attachment wounds held in the body

  • Regulating overwhelming emotions and anxiety responses

  • Rewriting core beliefs that drive self-doubt or unworthiness

  • Reconnecting with intuition and self-trust

  • Cultivating a calmer, safer, and more integrated inner world

Outside of individual therapy, Lou also facilitates psychoeducational workshops and group experiences designed to deepen emotional intelligence, resilience, and connection.

Her guiding philosophy is simple: healing is not a single event, but a return to wholeness.

Notice on Professional Pathway

I hold a Master’s Degree in Neuroscience & Psychology from King’s College London, and I am a member with Singapore Psychological Society (SPS).  I do not hold the title of a Clinical Psychologist - my focus and training are in psychotherapy.

My training is grounded in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, EFT, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Clinical Hypnotherapy.

I practise under ongoing clinical supervision and continuous professional development (CPD) to ensure safe, ethical, and effective practice.

My professional pathway is distinct from the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) route — I am not SAC-registered,  and this is not a legal requirement for psychotherapeutic practice in Singapore.

Hi! I'm Lou.

I bring with me a background in neuroscience, psychology, and clinical hypnotherapy but more than that, I bring deep respect for the messy, layered, and beautiful experience of being human. I’m also a mother, a moon-gazer, a deeply feeling observer of life’s patterns, and someone who embodies healing as both a science and a tender unfolding.

What shapes my practice is a natural psycho analytic flair - an attunement to the subtle, the unspoken, and the spaces in-between. I’ve often been told I have a sharp eye for nuance, and a way of gently naming what’s hidden beneath the surface. This makes my journey with you in your self-discovery different.

Whatever brought you here, know that this space is built with care. I work relationally, which means I care about who you are beneath the coping. Your nervous system, your stories, your needs - they matter here.

This space will help you remember who you are beneath the fear, perfectionism, anxiety, or self-doubt. I’d be honoured to walk alongside you as you soften into your worth and step into the life that feels true.

Alongside therapy, I also run psychoeducational workshops and group experiences that help you build emotional intelligence, learn to read people, improve relationships, and come into self-trust.

If you're ready to shift from survival to self-awareness, from coping to connection, you're in the right place.

psychotherapy for everyone; be unapologetically yourself in this one life we have

Until you get to know yourself, someone else will.

Do you ever feel like your inner child is longing for care and understanding? Your relationship with yourself often mirrors your relationships with others; your parents, your partner, your friends. If you tend toward perfectionism, you may find yourself caught in cycles of self-criticism, never feeling quite “good enough.”

How do you truly feel about the people closest to you? Do you struggle with envy, comparison, or resentment? Sometimes, our emotions toward others reflect deeper wounds within ourselves.

And what about your relationship with you? Are you living in alignment with your dreams, or do you feel stuck, held back by self-doubt or fear?

Maybe you’re struggling with body image, feeling like no matter what you do, it’s never enough. Perhaps you often take things personally, whether it’s a difficult coworker or even a stranger walking too slowly in front of you.

What do you do after work and on weekends? How do you spend your time when no one else is watching? Your daily habits, thoughts, and emotions hold the key to self-discovery.

Because understanding yourself is the first step toward healing. And healing is the path to true freedom.

Let’s explore your journey together.

the way to heal in individual therapy with Lou

1

understanding is power

Fear thrives in the unknown. The more you understand a situation, emotion, or person, the less power fear has over you.

Many people operate on subconscious programming formed from childhood experiences, trauma, or societal conditioning without realising they are repeating cycles that no longer serve them. Understanding breaks these cycles.

Time will be dedicated to deeply exploring and gaining insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns from the past and present.

2

heal with neuroplasticity and self-compassion

The brain has an incredible ability to form and reorganise connections, a process known as neuroplasticity.

Neuroplasticity - Rewiring the Brain

Every thought, emotion, and experience strengthens neural pathways, shaping the way we perceive ourselves and the world. When self-doubt, shame, or fear are reinforced over time, they become automatic responses. However, because the brain is malleable, intentional practice allows us to reshape these mental and emotional responses, creating healthier and more empowering thought patterns.

Self-Compassion - The foundation to lasting change and self-worth

Neuroplasticity works best when paired with self-compassion, the practice of approaching yourself gently rather than with harsh self-judgment, allowing space for growth, healing, and self-acceptance. Without self-compassion, healing can become another self-improvement task fuelled by perfectionism rather than a genuine transformation.

3

embracing your authentic self, authentic living

After healing, life is no longer about just surviving. It becomes about fully living. However, success, joy, ease, and support can feel unfamiliar, even uncomfortable. The nervous system, conditioned by past struggles, may still associate safety with hardship, making it difficult to trust happiness or feel at ease in success.

True healing is not just about releasing pain, it’s about learning to receive goodness with trust. It means allowing yourself to take up space and live without shrinking or filtering. It means being deeply connected and true to yourself. Avoidance and anxious traits will no longer be your modus operandi.

Yet, healing does not mean life will be free of challenges. Instead, it equips you with the emotional resilience to navigate difficulties without losing yourself.

Growth is reinforced when you continue to prioritise self-regulation, self-care, and boundaries, even in tough moments.

Healing is the foundation and growth is what sustains it.
The final step is choosing to embrace the life you deserve, fully and unapologetically.
